As former insurance adjusters, our owners, Jim & Gretchen Simpson have seen it all, from deadly hurricanes across multiple states of Florida, Alabama and Louisiana, devastating flooding, tornadoes and total loss insurance claims to intense wind and devastating hail losses. They have helped people overcome the worst situations imaginable across most of the U.S. Jim has even worked as a public adjuster, being a trustworthy liaison between insurance carriers and policyholders. Their expertise in the insurance world has proven most valuable when customers are in need of understanding their insurance claim and process. They have personally worked on hundreds of roofing and restoration projects and witnessed the benefit of how working with a knowledgeable, honest contractor doesn’t only restore properties, it creates long-lasting, trusting relationships. They sought to create a positive change in the industry with their experience and integrity. The result was the inception of Affordable Roofing.

In 2008, after a tornado destroyed a good part of their charming little community, Windsor- Co, they felt it was the perfect time to park their full time traveling RV to stay home and raise their family while building a roofing/restoration company with the values, honesty and integrity that seemed to be lacking in the industry. Since then they have raised their 3 sons (Ethan, Jackson & Isaak) who are all part of the Affordable family! For almost 20 years (and counting)  they have worked not only to restore properties but to also build everlasting friendships and industry based partnerships.
